5 tips for getting a spring-themed kitchen

With March just around the corner, spring is racing towards us. Christmas is now a distant memory, we can store away our scarves and hats until next October and finally wave goodbye to dark and dreary winter colours.

Of course you want your home to reflect the change of season, and where better to make a few changes than your kitchen? Here’s how to revamp one of the most-used rooms in the home in time for spring.

  1. Pay attention to pastels…

A deep red or bold blue may have got you in a Christmassy mood last November, but the last thing you want to be doing now is thinking about log fires and turkey dinners. Pastel hues such as baby blue, pretty pink and apple green can brighten up the kitchen, and are easy on the eye too.

  1. …Or go big and bold

Maybe softly softly isn’t your kind of approach, and you want to welcome spring with a statement. A newborn-chick yellow would certainly do that, and would look fantastic next to monochrome floor tiles.

  1. Replace your worktop

Dull and dark worktops can be a bit depressing come spring, so why not brighten up your kitchen with a new granite one? Pale colours such as white, grey or even a soft gold would go really well with a spring-themed kitchen, so ask us to fit your granite worktop in Leeds today.

  1. Add florals

What better to get you in the mood for spring than a bit of floral print? Whether it’s your wallpaper, your tea towels or even your toaster, some flowery patterns would really complement pastel paint.

  1. Finishing touches

Finally, place a few budding daffodils in a vase on your windowsill to complete the look. Gorgeous!
